Scholls Valley Native Nursery, LLC Stock Type and Coding
Stock types are determined by the number of growing seasons, the number of times our materials are
transplanted, and/or the container size that the material is sold in. Since we over-emphasize root
development, we do not sell materials based on the size of the top, However; in general the more growing
seasons, the larger the plant material.
Container Sizes
Our container sizes include plug trays with 38 cells (4 ½” deep) and 51 cells (3 ½” deep); 2-4” pots; 5 ½”
tall band pots; larger width/depth band pots; and #1 up to #5 pots (formally 1-5 gallon containers).
